Softwood Processing

Merensky softwood processing comprises four sawmills strategically located in Mpumalanga, KZN and the Eastern Cape. These mills are at the forefront of South African sawmilling producing approximately 20% of the country’s highest quality sawn Pine lumber for construction, furniture and joinery.

Hardwood Processing

Merensky is South Africa’s leading Eucalyptus hardwood processor at the Limpopo sawmill. Merensky’s kiln drying is world renowned and produces unrivaled hardwood lumber for use in joinery, furniture manufacture and construction. Plantation Eucalyptus is a sustainable alternative to endangered tropical hardwoods and Merensky has been leading this initiative for almost a century.

Panel Processing

The Merensky plywood operation, situated in Kokstad, KZN, is a technologically advanced facility producing highest grade Pine plywood for local and international markets. The facility is situated for export via the Durban port as well as for local distribution. The flexibility of the operation allows for panel processing to cater to customers’ construction, joinery and furniture manufacturing needs.
